-Relax guys,it isnt my favourite yet..Though there are some places in Chennai which you might know about..

So if that's what you know about Chennai,its the old information on the net.A beach which stretches all along the ECR is one of the best beaches and is known as Covelong.If you thought the waters in goa was blue and calm,the water here is best for a swim or even for surf.


BEACHES IN CHENNAI,CHENNAI BEACHES



Marina Beach,Chennai:Those of you who dont have very fond memories of chennai from your previous trips,there is a good news.Chennai Corporation has cleaned the beach in 2010 and have maintained ever since.

So no longer you have to pass through those dirty sands,the atmosphere around marina beach chennai is now vibrant,colourful and clean.The parking space in front of the beach is amazingly wide.And the roads alongside are great too!!! The beach is best in the mornings when you can come for a jog or a walk,and I have my cool deep blue sea mornings sometimes celebrated in the morning hours when I jump into the peaceful sea water.The waves gradually becomes rough,but you can still enjoy.

During the evenings,the beach is as exciting as ever.With people flying kites,to riding horses.

Advantage of Marina Beach,Chennai: Many,its very well kept.

Disadvantage of Marina Beach,Chennai: The crowd sometimes makes the beaches a little dirty.It would be great if each of us help to keep the beach clean and not depend on the police or the corporations.They are also humans after all.

Golden Beach,Chennai:
I really think this beach is a little hyped.The VGP golden beach amusement park is a wonderful park with amazing landscapes,inside as well as outside.And what made it more interesting were the carving of the elephant at the entrance in very royale colours.Though the beach is not well maintained.

Advantage of Golden Beach,Chennai :None,if you're going along ECR,drop by to check the amusement park

Disadvantage of Golden Beach,Chennai :Simply not worth it.

SURF BOARDING IN CHENNAI


Covelong Beach/Kovalam Beach:


If you thought Chennai was boring,there's surf boarding to add spice in your life.Cant' believe it??Kovalam beach is one of the best beaches of Chennai,even better than the original Kovalam of Kerala.The water's is as blue as it can get,unbelievable because the colour of water at marina is not all blue.I was a little surprised to see no crowd at such an amazing place.


If you want to learn surf boarding come right here,and even if you have no mind to try it,the beach is still very beautiful forming an arc amidst the rocks.We had great time taking bath and playing in the clean blue waters.Do not miss it if you are in Chennai.
