My Blogging Journey And Whats Next

12.30.2012

This is a part of the entry for "Your Blogging Journey So Far And What You Plan To Blog About In 2013".The submission guidelines says 300 words,so here are my words best told :)

Travelling To The Lesser Known "Barog in Himachal Pradesh"

"Blogging began with my own fascination for exploring places and activities, a positive outcome to escape from the boredom of corporate life which created an ambiance online where I could pen down my inner thoughts and experiences and simultaneously be helpful to all those who need it”. I quit my IT job of 4.5 years, joined an adventure firm, but soon realized that "being on the move" is my forte’. My name is Ankita Sinha,I am a travel adventure blogger since end of Nov 2011 at "Ankionthemove.com". I pen down my experiences in a form of self-made videos and conversational writeup.

The Unexplored Bihar

I always wanted my blog to be meaningful, that brings about a change in the society. In the last one year, I have received tremendous encouragement in the form of mails or comments on my blog. People didn't know India was slowly progressing towards safe haven for adventure sports. People didn't know how to travel overseas on their own. People didn't know even the states considered Backward in India, are worth visiting.

Maldives as a Backpacker

I was also featured on FOX Traveller FB Page cover, published in Outlook Traveler for "All India Road Trip.Recently,I was published in Deccan Chronicle for organizing "Bangalore Travelers Meet”, where I interacted with many travelers  I have had never met before. I was also appreciated by Lonely Planet India and NDTV Good Times . I was interviewed by Glad2bawomen and Thrillophilia. One year and a lakh + page-views is something I had never thought of,and so was the 600+ comments on 150 published articles.

Surfboarding in Chennai,Scuba Diving,Skydiving and Many other adventure sports
